How to grow your own mushroom garden
Having your own mushroom garden is only a few steps away and for those which can spare around 12 hours in a week to get started, here is a general view on how to get started:
To start off, you’ll need a spawn to start the mushroom culture. You can produce your own spawn using a sterile culture, or you can buy ready-to-inoculate spawn, which we provide in-house.
Producing your own can be cheaper in the long run, but the start-up costs can be high, so chances are buying the ready-to-inoculate spawn is the way to go for you.
You’ll also need to buy the substrate. Many growers use straw or sawdust or even coffee grounds. All 3 substrates are generally the preferred method. You can use straw that can be chopped up into little pieces or saw dust grind to powdery form or used coffee grounds
For your fruiting room, you need a high level of humidity. The temperature will need to be within parameters. Unlike the incubation room, you’ll actually need a reasonable amount of natural light…
